“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 (bold letters added)
I pray that my blog will always minister grace unto the hearers and that the truth–God’s word–will always be proclaimed. Therefore, I must say that my heart is broken as I see my Jesus being portrayed as a sinner in a movie on Netflix, “The First Temptation of Christ.” I pray that the Lord would convict the hearts of those who made the movie and of those who approved it to be on Netflix. I pray that they would come to know Jesus and that He would radically change their lives.
Jesus Christ. The Son of God. Immanuel. Messiah. Jehovah. The Savior of the world was, is, and forever will be the Spotless Lamb of God. Christ never knew sin and never will no sin.
As Christians, we must stand up and defend the name of the Spotless Lamb of God. Years ago in a church in a Gorilla War Fare country, the congregation was having service and soldiers came in and began to ravage the church. The soldiers took the picture of Jesus off of the wall and threw it onto the ground. The lead soldier commanded every congregant to spit of the picture of Jesus and if they didn’t, they would be killed. Person after person spat upon the picture of our Lord–until it got to a little girl. The little girl exclaimed, “No! I can not do that to the one I love so much and believe in!” And she wiped the spit off of the picture.
Am I willing to wipe the spit off of Jesus face? Are you willing to wipe the spit off of Jesus’ face?
