I’ll Want to See Jesus

You know how we say, “When I get to heaven I can’t wait to see ______ and I can’t wait to ask ____!” I’ve been thinking about this concept recently. I believe that when I get to heaven, I will forget all of the questions I have and want to run as quickly as I can to the feet of Jesus.

Heaven can be an overwhelming subject to think about, because our finite brains cannot comprehend it and that it will go on for eternity. But I find it easy to forget the overwhelming aspect of heaven when I focus on the fact that I’m going to see JESUS! THE ONE WHO DIED FOR ME! Jesus is the only one that I will want to see. That makes the incomprehensible questions disappear.

When I get to heaven, there will be no more fears, unknowns, and tears. The only thing that will be on my mind is Jesus. I cannot wait for the day where I’ll worship at His feet and see the nail prints in His wrists and feet. I cannot wait for the day where I’ll be able to see my Savior face to face. (You can’t see it but I’m getting all jacked up just thinking about this.)

I am so thankful I have a place prepared for me (John 14:2-3).

My citizenship is in heaven (Philippians 3:20-21). This world is not my home, I’m just passing through. Oh what a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see.
